So…do you?

August 21st, 2008

Anyway, besides the awesome song seen above^(P.S. the SONG, not the cheesy animation slapped on that some lone 3 year old might think is funny)…well…not much. School’s been okay, though I was out yesterday with some kinda’ virus, but, I’m better now. :D Yeah, BUT!!!! High School band is still WAY to hard. I have to play and march at the same time for 832 counts…>.< Grrr… Yeah. OH WAIT! First thing, I HATE NARUTO and those weird Eclipse books (You know, the ones with vampire romance…*shivers*). That being said, here’s the best conversation EVER recorded in 6th hour:
Dave’s Friend Who Obviously Like Naruto: Check this out! *Shows Dave something Naruto related*
Dave: Aiigh!! *covers eyes* No. If I see ANYTHING Naruto related, my eyes will burst into flame along with the rest of my head.
Dave’s Friend Who Obviously Like Naruto: Why?
(There should really be some snappy music to go with this…and it should rhyme…and I should be dancing…)Dave: Weeeelllll, I love ninjas! But, Naruto took the ninja concept, threw it against a wall, beat it to death with a stick of licorice, danced on the now dead yet licorice flavored corpse, then threw a great party with pizza and cake that I wasn’t invited to. THAT’S why I hate Naruto. So, if anyone can make a song with this (maybe even a dance?) I will force myself to read and understand Naruto…*shivers*. But!, if I do it first, then I don’t have to. The challenge is on, so, in the mean time, PENGUIN OUT!!!!

I wonder if Yoda played the sax…

August 17th, 2008

Well anyway, it’s been too long since I posted, but, I have to reclaim the blog somewhere. I survived the 1st “official” week of school. Nothing exciting has happened there, but, all my teachers are cool. High-school band is in full swing with 2 practices every week. It even comes complete with 40 pieces of music and a 6 min. and 30 sec. piece of music I have to memorize and be able to do a field show with. >_< Grrrr… Also, I went to see the new Star Wars movie. Despite what the critics say, it was decent. But corny. VERY corny. That, and it would have been better with live-action. BTW, the only thing I learned was that there is indeed a Huttese (sp?) word for “punkie muffin”. Also, people WILL dress-up for the littlest Star Wars movie I.E. Darth Vader and Boba Fett were there. Anyway, that’s about it, short post, I know, but I’m still working on Frank and on my scanner problem. So, in the mean time, PENGUIN OUT!

Survival…kinda’…

August 9th, 2008

Well, I made it past my first day of 8th grade…kinda. I saw all my old buddies, got the lay of the land, mountains of paperwork (XP), and my head crammed full of rules, teacher bios, and other stuff. Right now I’m writing from a hotel room in the middle of Jackson, Mississippi where we came for the weekend to watch the Saints at their practices, and basically just chill. Nope, I got NOTHING signed BTW. Well, I’ll post later about my school experiences…and…you know…other…stuff…hmm…too many periods?

Last Memoirs…

August 7th, 2008

It’s 9:19…ish..I’ve got…hmmm…not many hours to school. I should be asleep. So this is what being on the brink of the ultimate pain and torture is like…hmmm…gives me a hankering for BBQ chips. Anyway, I can’t really think of anything profound to say..so..I won’t…besides this, “Where’s the tunnel?” Anyway, after tomorrow, I may or may not be a zombie (thank you Beej). Good night.
P.S. I….regret…..NOTHING!!!!….*cough cough*

Highschool Band/Fun and School, Water and Oil, Chivalry and Realism…

August 5th, 2008

Well, today was our all day HS band practice (9-12, 1-4) We marched, practiced, and talked the practice through. I met Mr. Feigles, Band Conductor; Doug, HS Drum Major; Sara, the HS Band Colonel; Dylan, Madison, and Andrew, the HS Saxophonists; and saw most of my band buddies. When I went to practice today, the thought occured to me that FRIDAY (yes, THIS Friday) is our 1st day of school (:O)!!! I guess I better start pysching myself up and getting back into the routine of waking up at some unearthly hour to go to school, surviving 7-8 hours, of school (with HS Band practices Tuesdays and Thursdays), and then going back home to try and recover. I’ve got my schedule so I’ll post it up here:
1st Hour: Adv. Band (Ok, get to see my band buddies)
2nd Hour: GT Reading (GT Buddies)
3rd Hour: GT English (GT Buddies)
4th Hour: Algebra 1 (Meh, I like, so whatever)
5th Hour: La. History (Hmm…not sure ’bout teacher…)
6th Hour: Spanish (Yay! All my friends and awesome teacher)
7th Hour: Science (New teacher, so..meh…)
Torture Schedule=Posted
Well, besides getting ready for school, going to HS Band practice the rest of the week, and going to see the new Mummy movie w/ Mr. Bob tomorrow (I assume), I’ve got nothing to do. So…Penguin Out!!!

I Wanted to Believe…Really…

July 29th, 2008

Well, okay, as much as it pains me to say this…The X-Files: I Want to Believe…was only…O.K. Sad, but true. The main reasons I couldn’t give it a great were that 1) No aliens…*tear*… and 2) Fox had a beard, then proceded to shave it…not that I really care..but..hmmm… Anyway, besides that…well…not much. I’ve been reading “The Princess Bride” (Yes the real one, which, coincidentally(?) is better than the movie) and a lot of other books for school (which starts in 2(!) weeks). Yeah..still haven’t fixed my scanner problem, but I’m working on it. So, in the mean time, PENGUIN OUT!

The X-Files, Doctor Who, and Cheesewheel Ninjas

July 27th, 2008

Okay, first, if you didn’t see the last Doctor Who episode, then please slap yourself. Done, okay, let’s move on. If anybody cared, my scanner was hatin’ on me and won’t upload Frank, so, hang in there baby (lol). Right now, I’m writing this from Mr. Bob’s comp. cuz we’re (Me and Beej) gonna’ go see the X-Files tomorrow! (:D) The Cheesewheel Ninja thing is from Tekken 5 which Mr. Bob and Beej are playin’ right now. I’m tempted to put something humorous about them winning or losing, but I like living… Anyway, that’s all I’ma gonna’ say…besides this…Sri Lanka!

Frank Says, “Megaman>Facebook…”

June 30th, 2008

Been a while hasn’t it…Anyway, Glenda actually talked me into making a Facebook, so that’s kinda’ taken up my time. It’s okay, but…I don’t know…weird I guess. Besides that, I’ve recently discoverd Dr. Who! Heh, British+Funneh+Sci-Fi=AWESOME! But, what I’ve really been working on is Frank, my fox! Frank will say whatever I usually don’t say and, thus, has a spot on paper hosting “Frank Says” Pics will be up as soon as I make my way to the scanner. I also got teh new Megaman Star Force and beat it in 5 days! Now for the extras…Penguin out!

I Wanna be a McNinja too…

June 22nd, 2008

Whew, well, had some interesting things happen lately. I “discovered” Doctor Who. Had some fun with Mr. Bob at “‘Kung Fu Panda” (Jack makes a Reeallllyyy good panda…???) and some other fun stuffz (besides mowing=blech) Anywayz, I stumbled upon a (mostly) family-friendly comic (though most people won’t get it): The Adventures of Dr. McNinja. The title itself=PURE WIN! You won’t understand much unless you check the archive and start from #1, but they’re are funneh and…well…funneh! But yeah, that’s my topic of the day.
P.S. Did anybody get Rick-Rolled on the last link? I won’t do that again…seriously…it’s not really promise..on my honor as a penguin…really…Here’s the real link if anybody wants it!

Game Time: Now with 50% more metal in your mouth!

June 19th, 2008

You’ll understand the title soon enough, don’t get ahead of me. Anywayz, life has continued on as usual ‘cept for the trip to Dauphin Island (Kayaking, Beaches, and Rock Fish O_o). As the monthly orthodontist appointment rolled around, so did Hannah’s doomsd…I mean…her time to get braces. She got them and now thinks they’re her “get out of work and worry” pass. Had to put a nice sign with the words: “NO! EPIC FAIL” in front of her parade, but, I’m glad to say, it didn’t hurt me! Anywayz, my braces are 89% done and..yeah…hum… To the more important news! I, after 6 grueling hours of doing level after level MULTIPLE times (last level=53 times), have beaten (with some of my buddies’ help) Halo 3’s LEGENDARY Campaign mode!!! YEAH! *party sounds* !!! {:D Rock! Yeah…whew…besides that, in the game news, Megaman Star Force 2 comes out Tuesday and LSU (barely) beat Rice to go on to face North Carolina tonight! Yeah, not much sides that, although last night I stayed up and watched all 3 Indiana Jones in order back-to-back(!), but, besides that, keep on reading because, and you all know it, I ROCK! PENGUIN OUT!

EDIT: Just in case you want to check out my Halo 3 Stats, you can go here. You can also look at the Bungie Fav’s for some pretty cool pics!
